Sunday Welcome Reception

After registering, SCCM-2015 attendees and companions are invited to a Welcome Reception to be held in the Grand Foyer on the second floor of the hotel from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.

Monday Companion Breakfast and Walking Tour

SCCM-2015 companions are invited to a Companion Breakfast to be held in Il Terrazzo on the first floor of the hotel behind the reception desk, starting at 10:00am. Enjoy a healthy breakfast while you get a brief introduction to Tampa, city maps, and further descriptions of the week’s tour. After breakfast, join a short walking tour led by a local tour guide to get your orientation to the different directions for the river walk, Children's museum, Downtown, Channelside, etc., and the Street Car system. You can continue the tour with a ride on the street car to Ybor city for a short walk through there, see the the various restaurants, including the Columbia Restaurant - a Florida tradition since 1905, where you can choose to get lunch on their own and return on your own by street car.

Tuesday Companion Tour

SCCM-2015 companions may enjoy spending a day at the beautifully landscaped estate of John and Mable Ringling. The tour will be conducted by Eventions of Florida. Tickets should be purchased prior to the conference, and ticket holders should meet the tour guide in the hotel lobby at 8:45am.
Sarasota’s Ringling Museum and St. Armand’s Circle – a combination of history, circus, art and architecture at the John and Mable Ringling Museum with a mix of shopping and dining at charming St. Armand’s Circle.
Price: $84 per person
Time: 845AM - 400PM
Minimum # of guests: 25 (tour will be canceled if the minimum is not met)

Wednesday Conference Tours

Being the free afternoon for the SCCM-2015 attendees, there are two choices for tours. The tours will be conducted by Eventions of Florida. Tickets should be purchased prior to the conference, and ticket holders should meet the Eventions tour guide in the hotel lobby at the start time of each tour.
Tarpon Springs – The quaint village of Tarpon Springs will delight families with an experience of a Greek community with highlighted by the Sponge Docks and Greek Cathedral, with time for shopping and dinner on your own before we return.
Price: $45 per person
Time: 145PM - 930PM
Minimum # of guests: 50 (tour will be canceled if the minimum is not met)

St. Petersburg and the Dali Museum – a fabulous exhibit of the quirky genius artist Salvador Dali in a very special architectural masterpiece museum including admission and docent tour, with time for shopping and dinner own your own along Beach Drive before we return.

Thursday Companion Tour and Optional Aquarium Visit

SCCM-2015 companions could visit the Florida Aquarium in the morning, join the Dolphin Eco Tour for the afternoon, and still make it back in time for the conference banquet! The tour will be conducted by Eventions of Florida. Tickets should be purchased prior to the conference. Ask the hotel concierge for walking directions to the Aquarium and pier.
Dolphin Eco-Cruise - What visit to Florida would be special without experiencing some time on the water with the Eco-Cruise from the Florida Aquarium? See the working port and city skyline while learning of the aquatic life in the waters of Florida. Cruise boat departs the pier next to the Aquarium at 1:45pm.
Price: $36 per Adult, $30 per Child (3-11 years)
Time: 145PM - 400PM
Minimum # of guests: 15
OPTIONAL admission to the Florida Aquarium (before or after Eco-Cruise)

Thursday Conference Banquet

Attendees and companions are welcome to the conference banquet starting at 7:30pm in the Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the hotel. Attendees paying the full conference registration fee ($800, $950 or $1200) have one ticket included with their registration. Additional tickets are available for purchase at the conference registration desk at $120 each, until Monday evening.
