Collaborative team led by Ivan Oleynik awarded experimental time at National Ignition Facility

Discovery Science (DS) program awarded experimental time at National Ignition Facility of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to a collaborative team led by Ivan Oleynik to synthesize the elusive high-pressure post-diamond phase of carbon. The team includes scientists from LLNL, University of Rochester, Arizona State University, the Royal Institute of Technology, and Swinburne University.
